The 27th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards Took Center Stage at the Historic Lincoln Theatre

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce the awarding of special Mayor's Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement to legendary film producer and director George Stevens, Jr. and African Heritage Dancers and Drummers Founding Artistic Director Melvin Deal at the 27th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards, held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Historic Lincoln Theatre. The night was also highlighted with a Mayor's Arts Awards for Visionary Leadership to Anthony A. Williams and Mayor’s Arts Awards of Special Recognition to Paul Jorgensen.
