Bulletin ID: No. 48 - Schedule For Submission of FY-08 Claims

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) has established the following schedule for the submission of claims for FY 2008.

• The last date for submission of new claims with dates of service from October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 for FY 2008 is December 31, 2008.
• DMH will adjudicate provider claims and forward denial reports to providers by January 31, 2009.
• The last date for submission of reworked claims from providers to DMH for FY 2008 is February 28, 2009. For purposes of this bulletin, a reworked claim is defined as a claim that was submitted prior to December 31, 2008, reviewed and rejected by DMH as reported on an exception report or a denial report. No new claims for FY 2008 will be accepted or worked after January 1, 2009.
• DMH will be submitting all claims for payment prior to March 31, 2009.

Please note that DMH will only reimburse providers for FY 2008 for valid Local – Only claims up to the amount of their purchase order.
