Department of Behavioral Health Headquarters Remains Closed

24/7 Access Helpline (1-888-793-4357) Accepting Calls for Services

Washington, DC—The District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) headquarters at 64 New York Avenue NE remains closed for the second day, Tuesday, January 28, 2014, due to a water main break. Essential employees are required to telework.  The 24/7 Access Helpline (1-888-793-4357) is operational and receiving calls for mental health services.

All other DBH offices are open, including the mental health adult clinic and pharmacy at 35 K Street NE, the children’s clinic at 821 Howard Road SE, and the substance abuse Assessment and Referral Center at 70 N Street NE .  Emergency mobile crisis teams are operational and can be reached at (202) 673-9300.

DC Water is onsite around the clock and working to restore water to the building as quickly as possible. For information about the reopening of the headquarters and behavioral health services, go to the DBH website at www.dbh.dc.gov.
